  • On the IW alone, 1500 tons of nappies are landfilled each year - a mixture of faeces, paper pulp and plastic
  • It is unknown how long a disposable nappy takes to biodegrade - estimates show it to be around 200 years
  • This means that every disposable nappy ever made still exists and will probably still exist when your baby is a grandparent.
